Ok, here’s my next post!! Just for you Enyur!! LOL!! I’m joking! Thanks by the way for the web site. I am a desi but not so much, you know? I will be checking out the site soon and will definitely keep a look out for ‘Farewell Trance’ – thanks again.
Now ... Sorry in advance for the length of my post ….!
So Friday I took a train down to London, all on my own. I was looking forward to the trip, as I hadn’t been since last year. It was incredibly hot when I reached my destination and remained like that over the course of the weekend. I have got such a tan [or rather I’ve just gone really dark!]. Anyways, my bro was waiting for me once I got off the train. It was great spending time together – just the two of us, like we used to and then headed back to his place. Friday night was great. Went out for a meal with my bro, sister – in – law and her two sisters and then I did something I NEVER thought I would do in a million years!! We went to watch a Bollywood film! I cannot stand watching Indian films but at the time I thought … “Why not!! … When in London …” Big mistake! My bro and me are not interested in Bollywood films [in fact we wanted to watch “Hard Candy”] but when it’s 3 against 2 – we didn’t really have a chance!! [However I think my sis in law interest in Bollywood films and music has begun to rub on my bro! Arghhhhh!!! Noooooo!!!] You’re probably wondering what the film was called. I think it was “Chupke Chupke” – Jeez what a stupid film! Who knows what happened in the film though as majority of the time I spent texting my friends! LOL!! By the time the film finished at 1am I was ready to kill myself!!
Saturday must have been the hottest day ever!! After 3 long hours of flicking through my bro’s in laws family pictures, we were ready to go and SHOP! Unfortunately we were unable to go near Central London due to the Queen’s second birthday celebrations [lucky cow! Why can’t we have 2 birthdays each year!! Heeehee!]. Hundreds of goray’s attended the ‘Royal celebrations’. Saturday night we stayed in and surprise surprise decided to watch another Bollywood film – but this time with my consent!! Again what a mistake. It was like the gayest film ever called “Dosti”!! LOL! I have never laughed so much over a film! Unsurprising though, I did not stay to watch the rest of the film. My sis in law joked how each time I paid them a visit, they would make me watch Indian films to the extent I would start to enjoy them – ermmm don’t think so … I took this as a threat!! LOL!
By Sunday morning I was getting frustrated due to lack of sleep! I was already home sick! Don’t get me wrong I loved spending time with my ‘new family’ but I tend to get impatient really quickly! I rarely get the chance to see them especially my bro and the trip made me feel both sad and happy. Happy because I am pleased that my bro is happy, has settled down and has found the person he is destined to spend the rest of his life with but sad because I feel as though I’ve ‘lost’ him. He’s got a new life and wont be needing me as much – I sound jealous don’t I?!
Once I said my ‘goodbyes’ to everyone, I was looking forward to some peace and quiet on the train … hmmm did that happen?? What do you think?? A really nice woman sat next to me. The minute she sat down and until we got off the train we chatted about everything and anything. It was so shocking to find out that we had so much in common! We were both from the same area; both went to the same university, did the same degree & knew the same lecturers. She also offered me a job at the place she worked! She found out that I was interested in IT and told me that new software had been development and implemented at the place she worked and were looking for graduates! By the end we exchanged numbers and I spoke to her yesterday to arrange a meeting! Weird hey? My friends have told me to be cautious – she could turn out to be a Looney! LOL!!
Moving on to World Cup – England V Sweden. Even though it was a draw the match itself wasn’t that bad. That’s all I am saying on that!
Anyways, as usual I have not written a small post but a frigging huge novel! As Enyur’s knows – once I start typing I cant stop!! I hope no one feel asleep while reading my post … if you’re still awake then Congratulations!! You’ve survived!! LOL!!
Until next time – Night all.
*** Update – The name of the Indian film we watched at the cinemas was actually called “Chup Chup Ke” – Told you I wasn’t paying any attention!! ***
