*Sigh*
Begin Venting ….

ARRGGGGG!! Work is doing my head in!!! I want to leave! I never imagined myself working in this crappy place after uni and not with the degree I have!! I need another job! Somewhere I can implement my skills, my ideas – any ‘bloody’ thing!!. I can do soo much better!!

I need some excitement in my life and talking to crappy business managers, hear them constantly moan about “…. Oh this hasn’t been done … and oh why has this been sent back .. blah .. blah …!!” isn’t my idea of ‘fun!' [Ok work isn’t suppose to be fun but still!!] Jeez!! If these so-called managers did the work done correctly in the first fucking place then I wouldn’t be moaning! Workload has increased and less hours in the day to complete it all! Not only that but the environment at work itself has become unbearable! New rules and regulations have been introduced and we MUST abide … yeah whatever!!

In addition to this all I don’t get paid THAT MUCH to take this shit on!

Just having a frustrating and tiring week as I have been roped into doing over time and it’s killing me .. again! 2 more hours on top of what I already do! Cannot wait for the weekend but even then doubt I’ll be chilling as we have guests coming over for a dawaat [a meal or however it’s pronounced!]

I guess there’s one good thing about all this ‘stress’ – I am so frigging tired at the end of each day that I can actually get to sleep without any trouble! Wooo Hooo!! [And a nice long HOT soak in the bath also helps – heheee!!].

World cup – So England are playing Portugal on Saturday? Hmmmm don’t fancy our chances much!! Oh well it was great while it lasted! As for all the other matches that have been played since my last post … some have been great, some sooo boring it made me fall asleep, some so violent I thought I was watching a combination of a rugby match and boxing! The best match is yet to come …. West Germany V Argentina – arguably the 2 best team’s in the world cup! What a match that will be!

Anyways feeling better and venting now over …… thanks for listening .. Au reviour!

Result!!

[All David Beckham pictures are 'borrowed' from www.fifa.com - Thanks! Very much appreciated!]

Woo Hoo!! We’re through to the next round [I should have been more optimistic!].

A single goal from whom else but the one and only David Beckham! You beauty!! [Although he did throw up after scoring which was weird and disgusting!]. Overall not a bad game – much better than previous matches.

Roll on the next game, I say! Who did we play against – Holland or Portugal? We’ll find out tonight!

Well-done guys.

England V Ecuador

[Picture taken from www.fifa.com - Cheers!]

Kick off is at 5pm later today.

It is looking highly impossible for England to win this match and go through to the Quarterfinals. Not only has Ecuador been the better team [so far in the tournament] than England but now poor Michael Owen is out, the only decent striker we have is Rooney – and he isn’t even match fit!

Thousands of British fans will be watching anxiously ….. Wishing … Hoping … Maybe … Just maybe England will surprise us all …….. However if the match goes to penalties than NO CHANCE! We’re famous for being one of the worst penalties takers ever!

Come Monday morning – the whole of UK will either be ecstatic or drowning their sorrows!

Good luck guys … We have our fingers crossed.

Uh …… Oh …

As I mentioned in my last post. I met a ‘mysterious woman’ on the train while I was on my way back home from London … Well …. I think I made a mistake in telling my close work colleagues! They are adamant that there is more than meets the eye with this woman and she probably is going to turn out to be my stalker!! As for the job offer, well let’s just say they think it may turn out to be much more sinister [i.e. She could be a female pimp!! Or she could possibly kidnap me, ship me off to Russia and make me work as a slave …. Hmmm.. Yeah! Just some of the ‘ideas’ my mates come up with!!]. LOL!!

I also made the error of letting them know that she gave me a call a few nights ago and invited me out on Friday night – I politely refused. My mates took this to mean she asked me out in an … mmmmm how could I put this? errrrrrmmmmm ask me out in a romantic sense! Jeeeeeez!! NO WAY! [No offence but I like the guys!]. Did we have no work to do at work today?? Where were they coming up with these stupid ideas?!!

Throughout the day my so – called mates took the piss up until the point where I WAS PISSED!! It wasn’t funny anymore and they knew that. They apologised profusely – I’ll forgive them eventually … heheee!!

I have learned my lesson – never to give my number to anyone [strangely enough I never have in the past!], never to tell my mates ANYTHING and not to be too nice to any stranger next time!! I’ll be a bitcha! … Nah… I can’t!! It’s not in my nature!!

Anyways moving on – Brazil have just scored again!! [Watching the footie while typing this out … what can I say? I can multi – task!] So that’s 4 goals altogether! They actually playing well for once in this tournament. Oh crap! They’ve won. Was rooting for Japan - It’s about time some other country wins the World Cup!! Don’t you think?! Like ENGLAND!!! lol!!

Anyhoo... nite all

London Update [Oh and a little mention of the World Cup!]
Ok, here’s my next post!! Just for you Enyur!! LOL!! I’m joking! Thanks by the way for the web site. I am a desi but not so much, you know? I will be checking out the site soon and will definitely keep a look out for ‘Farewell Trance’ – thanks again.

Now ... Sorry in advance for the length of my post ….!

So Friday I took a train down to London, all on my own. I was looking forward to the trip, as I hadn’t been since last year. It was incredibly hot when I reached my destination and remained like that over the course of the weekend. I have got such a tan [or rather I’ve just gone really dark!]. Anyways, my bro was waiting for me once I got off the train. It was great spending time together – just the two of us, like we used to and then headed back to his place. Friday night was great. Went out for a meal with my bro, sister – in – law and her two sisters and then I did something I NEVER thought I would do in a million years!! We went to watch a Bollywood film! I cannot stand watching Indian films but at the time I thought … “Why not!! … When in London …” Big mistake! My bro and me are not interested in Bollywood films [in fact we wanted to watch “Hard Candy”] but when it’s 3 against 2 – we didn’t really have a chance!! [However I think my sis in law interest in Bollywood films and music has begun to rub on my bro! Arghhhhh!!! Noooooo!!!] You’re probably wondering what the film was called. I think it was “Chupke Chupke” – Jeez what a stupid film! Who knows what happened in the film though as majority of the time I spent texting my friends! LOL!! By the time the film finished at 1am I was ready to kill myself!!

Saturday must have been the hottest day ever!! After 3 long hours of flicking through my bro’s in laws family pictures, we were ready to go and SHOP! Unfortunately we were unable to go near Central London due to the Queen’s second birthday celebrations [lucky cow! Why can’t we have 2 birthdays each year!! Heeehee!]. Hundreds of goray’s attended the ‘Royal celebrations’. Saturday night we stayed in and surprise surprise decided to watch another Bollywood film – but this time with my consent!! Again what a mistake. It was like the gayest film ever called “Dosti”!! LOL! I have never laughed so much over a film! Unsurprising though, I did not stay to watch the rest of the film. My sis in law joked how each time I paid them a visit, they would make me watch Indian films to the extent I would start to enjoy them – ermmm don’t think so … I took this as a threat!! LOL!

By Sunday morning I was getting frustrated due to lack of sleep! I was already home sick! Don’t get me wrong I loved spending time with my ‘new family’ but I tend to get impatient really quickly! I rarely get the chance to see them especially my bro and the trip made me feel both sad and happy. Happy because I am pleased that my bro is happy, has settled down and has found the person he is destined to spend the rest of his life with but sad because I feel as though I’ve ‘lost’ him. He’s got a new life and wont be needing me as much – I sound jealous don’t I?!

Once I said my ‘goodbyes’ to everyone, I was looking forward to some peace and quiet on the train … hmmm did that happen?? What do you think?? A really nice woman sat next to me. The minute she sat down and until we got off the train we chatted about everything and anything. It was so shocking to find out that we had so much in common! We were both from the same area; both went to the same university, did the same degree & knew the same lecturers. She also offered me a job at the place she worked! She found out that I was interested in IT and told me that new software had been development and implemented at the place she worked and were looking for graduates! By the end we exchanged numbers and I spoke to her yesterday to arrange a meeting! Weird hey? My friends have told me to be cautious – she could turn out to be a Looney! LOL!!

Moving on to World Cup – England V Sweden. Even though it was a draw the match itself wasn’t that bad. That’s all I am saying on that!

Anyways, as usual I have not written a small post but a frigging huge novel! As Enyur’s knows – once I start typing I cant stop!! I hope no one feel asleep while reading my post … if you’re still awake then Congratulations!! You’ve survived!! LOL!!

Until next time – Night all.

*** Update – The name of the Indian film we watched at the cinemas was actually called “Chup Chup Ke” – Told you I wasn’t paying any attention!! ***

Long Weekend …
Back from London. It’s amazing how much can happen in 3 small days.

Anyhoo, right now I am off to bed as I haven’t slept for nearly 72 hours [see my lost post about ‘sleeping in a strangers bed’ as to why!] and I have to be up for 6.30am for work …. Adios

6 weird things & other things ....
Ok, so I’ve been tag by Jerzee. Six weird things about myself … here goes …

1) I can’t sleep in any other bed apart from my own [that’s when I’m not suffering from insomnia that particular night!]. I know many people have problems with this but I REALLY DO!! You can imagine what I’m like when I go away on holiday ….

2) I can play the Dhol! At functions or mehndi’s – I am so there!! I get asked to play each time! Ok, so why is this weird?? It is because I am such a un-tradition – Paki kuree! I don’t know any Hindi / Pakistani songs – if I do, god knows what their saying, hate watching Bollywood films and I don’t even own any Shalwaar Kameez’s!

Jeez … This is harder than I thought ….

3) I feel really uncomfortable when people are cracking their fingers – My friends do it all the time just to piss me off!

Ohhhh …. ermmmmm

4) When I was younger I really disliked my name! I was so adamant that I wanted to change it but of course my parents wouldn’t allow it! LOL!! I am sooo glad that they refused!! I love my name!!

Ermmmmmmmm

5) Again when I was younger I could never sleep in the dark. I used to be petrified even of my own shadow! I always had a table lamp. But practically over night I went from having light to loving sleeping in the dark! Even if the standby light on my stereo, TV, DVD etc was on I used to get so irritated!! Now I have a dimmer, so I can pick and choose!

Finally!

6) I only like cheese when it’s on pizza [LOL! Pathetic I know but I just cannot think of anything else!!]

I don’t even know 6 people who I can tag … yet :( but whoever is reading this then consider yourself tagged!

Moving on – World Cup update [Just a small one!] – England’s performance yesterday?? POOR!! Granted, they scored twice but come on!! That’s all I’m, saying on that matter!! [David Beckham – you can do no wrong!! Hehee!]

Anyhoo peeps, I am running behind on schedule. I am off to London in a few hours and I have many things I still must do ……

Enjoy your weekend.

Hmmm…
So, I was totally right in my past predictions – England played really well in the first half. But the second half … no comment! Let’s just say I am so glad England won that match. Many people will be happy with that result.

Roll on 15th June for the next match, which is on a Thursday. Kick off is at 5pm. I’m guessing many people will be leaving work early for that ... or call in sick! *tut tut* naughty naughty!!

Good news for me though! I have the day off. Got a long weekend! I am off to London. June 15th is my bro’s birthday! Still haven’t got him a prezzie. He has told me what he wants but unfortunately it has turned into a difficult mission in finding this particular item.

Did I really wish for the summer to arrive?? Jeez!! It is way to HOT! I’ve got the tan I wanted, thank you very much – no more please!! I have gone really brown!! lol

Sizzlin’ Hot!!!

Wow! It’s absolutely boiling!! I like it warm but not humid!! You just feel so tired all the time!! Oh well, I can’t really complain.

I don’t usually suffer from hayfever but my poor eyes!! [ Or maybe I do suffer from hayfever ..... Hmmmm ] I can’t stop rubbing them!!

Anyways, I seem to have an obsession’s with these so called ‘test’s [ or rather I was tagged! ] so here goes ....

You Are A Woman!

Congratulations, you've made it to adulthood.
You're emotionally mature, responsible, and unlikely to act out.
You accept that life is hard - and do your best to keep things upbeat.
This makes you the perfect girlfriend... or even wife!
Are You A Girl Or a Woman?

.... I am so glad I took the test .... not!! [ But sooooo totally true, of course!!! lol]

So ladies and gyals … take the test to see who you REALLY are ... heheee!!

Consider yourself tagged!!

Summer is finally here!!
The long awaited sun has finally decided to appear and it was a fabulously warm day yesterday. No black cloud in sight!! Today is pretty much the same, maybe a little cooler. Hopefully this weather is here to stay [for a while at least!].

Good news - Finally went to watch ‘The Da Vinci Code’ yesterday. I was eager to watch the film on the day it was released but because I am such a great mate ..*ahem* I waited, patiently. I promised a good friend of mine that we would go and watch it together. My friend, let’s call her L, at long last had some time off from work. [L is working every available hour to save for her impending holiday to Greece – you know who you are, L!! ... Aren’t I nice!! lol ]. So a few weeks late, but nevertheless a really great film. I actually enjoyed it despite the mixed reviews the film received [especially at the Cannes film festival]. It had me on edge throughout. When you think the film is about to end ... It doesn’t .... again you think it’s ending ..... but nope wrong again!!

Can you just imagine if there was some kind of truth to the film / book??? Of course there isn’t any but still!! Imagine that somewhere in some remote destination ‘The Holy Grail’ is just waiting to be found! Not an object but rather a human being .... lol!!!
A side note – Don’t you think that the film was perfectly cast? It seemed as though the roles where specially intended for the actors, especially the two leading stars!! [Ok, I will now stop taking about ‘The Da Vinci code’ … I promise!]

Bad news - Going to watch the film meant that I totally forgot about the friendly England match between Jamaica [yes forgot!!]. I only remembered when we left the pictures, walked past the nearest packed pub, when an all mighty cheer came from the [visually drunk but ecstatic!] gorai’s! Anyways what a great result though – England 6 Jamaica 0 !!!! [To be fair England’s opponents are not especially a great team – no offence!!]. I must catch the highlights [....I need to get my daily Becks fix from someplace, you know ... ;-) lol!!].

No one at work has ever seen me loose my temper or even raise my voice ... that was until Friday, when I got into a heated ‘discussion’ with [ironically] a really good mate, M. I was already in a foul mood when on that Friday morning I got into an argument with a so-called business manager over the phone – but that’s a completely different story! I don’t even remember what me and him started to fight about. What I do remember clearly is that I was so pissed I wanted to throw my monitor at him!! Cutting a long story short, the rest of the day went ‘smoothly’ until we both realised how stupid we were and apologised. M and me are really great mates [we actually trained together over a year ago for the job we’re in now] and did not want to loose his friendship over something so petty, especially as I am also close to his girlfriend. By the end of the day we were actually joking about it. I don’t like losing my temper or loosing close friends but get on the wrong side of me ….. and I will hold a grudge for a long time!!! LOL!

Anyways, it is a nice warm peaceful Sunday. Think I’ll pop out to visit my grandparents. Hope everyone enjoys what’s left of their Sunday.
